Order DVD Wizard Pro V 5.75 right now, you will be able to instantly download it, along with your free copy of Game Copy Pro, and VHS backup utilities! We have sold this package for as much as $69.95... but now, for a very limited time only, we are offering instant access for only $39.95!

What is it?

First of all, let me say that DVD Wizard Pro is not a 'software' solution per se. It is an executable eBook that gives you tutorial guides and access to certain tools to duplicate DVDs. What is required is that after you purchase the product, you have to further download copying software individually as per the eBook. It does come complete with video players with updated codecs that can handle DivX and other video formats.

DVD Wizard Pro is a very popular DVD copying solution. It was first online in 2001 (quite a long time ago in this information age) and have thousands of satisfied customers since then. They have constantly updated their software and website since 2001. This is an excellent indication of a good product that keeps up to date with changing consumer needs.

At the time of this review, version 5.75 of DVD Wizard Pro is the current release. This is unlike other products that do not evolve and upgrade themselves.

Speed of Copying

DVD Wizard Pro claims on their website: "We performed our tests on an average computer with a 2.0 GHz P4 computer that had a 4X DVD writer and a 16X DVD reader. To copy an average length movie (90 minutes), it takes about 30 minutes to copy the movie and another 15 minutes to burn the DVD. Copying time will vary with the length of the movie and the speed of your computer. Burning speeds are fixed by the DVD drive and media combination. "

We conducted a test in an attempt to re-perform the test stated above with similar specifications. Running a Pentium 4 2.2 GHz computer with 256 RAM and a 4x write, 16x read DVD drive and copying a 85 minute long movie yielded a very good result. It took 23 minutes to 'rip' the movie of the original and another 12 minutes to write the DVD.

What should be noted is that any unneccessary concurrent applications that is running while the copying software is also running should be terminated as we have discovered that this could lead to longer 'ripping' time. We advice that multi-tasking should be kept to a minimal when a bit-for-bit perfect copy is desired.

Additional Features

DVD Wizard Pro has one of the most comprehensive set of features available. An interesting addition is the information on how to backup video games and even play them on a PC. The whole package comes with information on how to download copies of games online - a must have for gaming fanatics.

Identification Information & Copy Protection

DVD Wizard Pro does not add any personally identifiable information on the copies made on discs. Neither does it add any copy protection that prevents the disc from being further duplicated. This is great as it is not one of those newer software that seek to curb your rights and ability to do anything. Technology should be about providing options, not removing them

Help and Support

DVD Wizard Pro is an excellent and versatile product, however their support leaves something to be desired. Their support comes by way of emails. Although this is quite effective, there are often times where multiple emails are exchanged before a solution is arrived at. What we would like to see is further support in various ways such as live support, forums or a toll-free number. Our suggestion is that you explain the problem as clearly as possible in the first email to them, saving the time to reach a solution.
